Advanced skiers on the way to the expert camp can do some fun things to improve reactions and balance, the hallmarks of the best all-mountain riders.
In this drill the demonstrator is making fast turns on a slope of chopped up snow.
- Check out the super-stable upper body with hands in front and eyes focused well ahead.
- A stable upper body is impossible if the legs are not supple to adjust to the terrain changes. Keep the feet under the body and work the legs like a suspension system.
Word to the wise: extra speed requires extra care. Helmet or not, stay away from people, trees and lift towers.
