Good skiers can broaden their repertoire and take their skiing to the next level by learning how to use terrain.
Unfortunately, advances in slope-grooming has robbed many skiers of the ability to use terrain for performance and skill development.
In this example a wind drift has formed a ridge on a steep slope to provide an ideal playground to hone balance and agility. Don’t worry about perfection, the goal is to stay in balance while attacking the terrain — hands and arms forward, ankles and knees edging, feet under the body.
