Allowing feet to get ahead is the expert’s technique for setting up to land in balance. It is a bit like hopping off a moving vehicle. You get ready by putting your feet ahead to land in balance. Lisa sets up perfectly in the fourth frame anticipating the sudden change of speed when she hits the trough with skis turned. Suddenly she is back in balance for the next turn.
