Salomon Backcountry Rocker2 Freeskis

Last year Salomon introduced a limited line with Rocker2 technology. The design was so successful that Salomon has developed a full range of freeride skis that benefit from the new concept. The range covers the full gamut from pro athletes to improving enthusiasts, from deep powder to hard snow in both men’s and women’s models. Salomon calls it their most playful and progressive freeski collection yet.

Expect the usual full wood-core quality and features. Some models also benefit from honeycomb tip and tail construction making them extremely light in the extremities.

As you move through this collection the degree of camber profile, or rocker, varies to suit the mission. They range from the Twin Rocker (tip and tail rocker) for serious surfing or the Hybrid Twin Rocker that has slightly less tip and tail rise.

Note that each ski length has its own design so waist width and side cut radius vary with each length to maintain the same ski behavior whether you buy a 170 cm or 192 cm ski.
