Salomon XTend goggles – better fit, less fogging, greater field of vision

Salomon engineers studied every goggle out there for ways to improve the frame, lenses and anti-fog performance. The result is a full range of high performance winter goggles that deliver in several key areas.

“Salomon only launches new product lines when we believe we can offer significant innovation to the market,” explains Elina Vorger, Salomon Goggles Product Manager, “this was true with skis, with boots, even with bindings 50 years ago. Since XTend delivers three significant advantages versus other goggles in the market, we are confident that we are once again delivering real innovation.”

Innovation 1

When it comes to balance and safety it is hard to overstate the importance of peripheral vision in skiing. XTend provides 20% greater field of vision. With a larger lens surrounded by a narrow frame, you get a wider periphery with less obstruction.

Innovation 2

Thermo Control System for improved fog control. Large, scoop shaped air vents create low pressure zones that pull moisture away from the lens and face, to eliminate fogging. The Thermal Control System works equally well when used with a beanie or a helmet.

Innovation 3

Better Fit. Dubbed “Perfect Fit,” the Custom Frame concept is a flexible membrane between the frame and the face foam that softly adapts to any face shape, improving comfort all day. Two frame sizes are offered to accommodate large and small faces.

And to top it off, the best available optical quality and impact resistance is provided by BNL and Zeiss lenses in a range of coatings for every level of light and weather.
